112 Ranger LT Knife
The 112 Ranger LT is a lightweight twist on the American classic, the 112 Ranger. Weighing in at only 2.5 ounces (71.0 g), the LT is created with lightweight molded nylon, drastically reducing its weight while maintaining the same quality as the original Ranger. The razor sharp, 3” (7.6 cm) 420HC tumbled finished, clip blade is perfect for detailed work like piercing and cutting in tight places. The blade features a nail notch for extra grip when opening the knife. The knife stays open safely and securely with a lockback design. The knife folds closed to 4 1/4” (10.8 cm) for easy storage and can be carried with the included heavy-duty polyester sheath on your belt. The 112 Ranger LT knife is perfect for those who want a medium sized folding hunting knife in a lightweight package. Backed by Forever Warranty. Made in the USA.
A little history on the 112 Ranger model: Back in the 1960’s, the famous 110 Folding Hunter could be found on a lot of sailor’s belts in the Navy. A fight between sailors resulted in a captain issuing a decree that knives carried could not have a blade length of a certain size. The 110 ended up being too long, so Buck Knives took the initiative and created the 112 Ranger, a version of the 110 with a shorter blade.
Lockback
Lockback folding knives have a mechanism that lock the blade in the open position, activated by opening the blade all the way. A lock back gets its name from a rocker (rocking lock bar) partially visible on top of the knife. Opening the blade causes the rocker to lock against the blade so it locks open. Pushing down on the rocker on top of the handle releases it and enables the user to close the blade. Lockbacks require two hand closing, though some are one hand openers.
Made in the USA

Paul Bos Heat Treat
Known for their blades, Buck Knives is a market leader in edge retention thanks to their steel selections and heat treat process pioneered by industry famous, Paul Bos, whose heat treating system has proven to be the best in the business. Each blade is put through a rigorous heat treat process and quality performance test. It is then tempered to the appropriate Rockwell Hardness through a heating, freezing, and reheating system. This gives you longer edge life, ease of resharpening, and a blade that will not fail you.
